4 Days in the Swiss Alps. We chose Lake Lucerne to visit before starting on an 8-day Rhine River Cruise. Getting there was easy in that the cruise line handles all arrangements to Basel Switzerland. From the Basel airport we grabbed a taxi to the train station. The train ride was a 1 hour and 15 minute ride through the Swiss countryside.
